Kepler is a spacecraft telescope that was launched by NASA in 2009. It's mission? To search the stars beyond our solar system, and discover planets that could sustain life.

Update: On October 30, 2018, Kepler retired and its mission ended due to the spacecraft running out of fuel. Kepler observed 530,506 stars and discovered 2,662 exoplanets over its lifetime.
